From May to June 2017, TOAM - Supported by the Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA) - commissioned eMJee Consult to carry out a Membership Needs Assessment. 

The needs assessment aimed to understand the following key questions:

a) What are the specific needs of the members in terms of services that can be provided by TOAM?

b) What are the potential services that would make other organizations in the organic farming sector of Tanzania join TOAM? 

In order to answer these key questions, the consultancy team carried out workshops with TOAM members, interviewed key agricultural stakeholders and collaborators of TOAM and used data from a farmer SMS survey carried out by TOAM.
