Procedures for joining and becoming a member of TOAM.

NB: Uanachama ni wa muda wa mwaka mmoja na unahesabiwa kutoka
siku ya kupewa cheti cha uanachama. Baada ya muda kuisha, mwanachama
hutakiwa kuhuisha tena uanachama wake kwa kulipa upya ada ya uanachama
kwa kufwata mchanganuo wa ada uliotolewa kwenye fomu ya maombi ya
uanachama.

Ordinary membership: This is open to individuals or any juristic person operating in Tanzania and interested in being a member of TOAM upon agreeing to its objectives.
They have the following rights:

  • To vote at any election of TOAM. Every member shall have a single voting right. 

  • To be elected to any leadership position 

  • To raise for discussion or consideration any matter relevant to the 
business and affairs of TOAM 


Associate membership: This Includes individuals or organizations operating or not operating in Tanzania that have regional or international orientation and are interested in being members.
They shall have neither voting nor the right to be elected to leadership positions.

  • Access relevant organic information, documents, and materials available at the TOAM resource Centre. 

  • Participate in training, workshops, meetings and fora organized for exchange of experience and sharing.
  • Receive consultancy services at a reasonable cost. 

  • Set priority agenda for organic sector development to be addressed by 
TOAM (i.e. research, marketing, learning needs, and advocacy issues) 


 Members obligations

  • To pay annual subscription fees and contributions as determined by the AGM.
  • Understand and adhere to the TOAM constitution and regulations.
  • To attend and participate in TOAM meetings and implement any role as required
  • To promote and defend the interests of TOAM and the organic sector.
  1. Individual Ordinary membership (Entry Fee (30,000TZS) & Annual Fee (50,000TZS).
  2. Group ordinary membership (Entry Fee (50,000TZS) & Annual Fee (100,000TZS).
  3. Company/Organization/Institution ordinary membership (Entry Fee (100,000TZS) & Annual Fee (200,000TZS)
  4. Individual Associate membership (Entry Fee (50,000TZS) & Annual Fee (75,000TZS)
  5. Group Associate membership (Entry Fee (65,000TZS) & Annual Fee (150,000TZS)
  6. Company/Organization/Institution Associate membership (Entry Fee (150,000TZS) & Annual Fee (250,000TZS)
